Fuerzas celestiales
Virgen de las Nieves, Monachil. Monumento en recuerdo de la Virgen María y de la fuerza celestial que en 1717 obró el conocido milagro para bien de Martín de Mérida y de Martín de Soto (beneficiado del pueblo de Válor y su criado, respectivamente), en el "maldito Puerto de Veleta" (así denominado por el insigne Simón de Rojas Clemente y Rubio). La reconstrucción de la historia que realizó el profesor Manuel Titos Martínez (Universidad de Granada) investigando los hechos y descubriendo las ermitas originales atestiguan que aquel suceso no fue una leyenda sino un hecho real (septiembre 2018).Virgen de las Nieves (Virgin of the Snows), Monachil. Monument in memory of the Virgin Mary and the heavenly force that in 1717 worked the famous miracle for the good of Martín de Mérida and Martín de Soto (beneficiary of the town of Válor and his servant, respectively), in the "cursed Port of Veleta" (so called by the illustrious Simón de Rojas Clemente y Rubio). The reconstruction of the history carried out by Professor Manuel Titos Martínez (University of Granada) investigating the facts and discovering the original hermitages attest that this event was not a legend but a real fact (September 2018).
